Frequently asked questions

Everything you'd want to know about Pineo.

01What is Pineo?

Pineo is an app for saving the spots of your trips and turning them into itineraries anyone can copy in one click. You save as you travel and, once you're home, you've got a map laid out day by day with your notes.

02Is it free?

Yes. Creating trips, saving them, sharing them and copying other people's is all free. There'll be optional premium features down the line, but the core will always be free.

03What happens when I copy an itinerary?

A private copy is created in your account with every spot, note and the day-by-day order. You can edit it however you like without touching the original.

04Do I have to sign up to see an itinerary?

No. Anyone can view a public itinerary via its link without signing up. You only need an account to copy one or create your own.

05How do I save a spot while I'm travelling?

You open Pineo, tap “Pin this” and the app saves your current location. Add a note if you fancy, and that's it — done in seconds.

06What languages is Pineo in?

Pineo is in Spanish, English, French, German, Italian and Portuguese. The content travellers write stays in its original language.

07Does it work offline?

Pineo is an installable web app (PWA) and a native iPhone app. You can browse trips you've already viewed offline; to save new spots you'll need a connection.

08Can I make money from my itineraries?

We're building a marketplace where creators will be able to publish premium guides. For now, everything's free and open.
