Head up to the Albaicín in the mid-afternoon and get lost in its slopes of white houses and cármenes. The San Nicolás viewpoint hands you the postcard of the Alhambra with Sierra Nevada behind it, but it fills up: arrive half an hour before sunset to claim a spot. If you still have energy, continue to the Sacromonte, of caves and flamenco. The night is for tapas, hopping from bar to bar, no bookings, just going with it.
